A little story about this product :)
We actually got our first Erasable Fabric Ink by mistake. We thought it was the same ink we had in stock and were just restocking, but when it arrived, we were like, "What is this and who would need an ink that disappears?" It sat unused for a while until we had a conversation with Ona from TOCS, our studio neighbor. She explained that this ink is great for fabric—it’s perfect for marking, stitching, and washing away. And just like that, our eyes were opened!
We started brainstorming and realized this ink could be used with any stamp you already own. But then we thought, why not take it a step further and create a collection of stamps specifically designed for embroidery? That’s how our embroidery stamp sets and templates came to life, and we’re really proud of how useful they are for creating beautiful, custom stitch designs.
This ink works great for making your own embroidery templates. You can stamp the design, stitch over it, and then wash it away to leave only your artwork behind. It’s perfect for creating personalized items like custom shirts, bags, and even home decor. Plus, it’s a great tool for beginners who want to practice their stitching skills without worrying about permanent marks on fabric.

APPLICATIONS
The ink is suitable for light-colored fabric and erases easily with water. We recommend testing it on a sample piece of fabric first.
HOW TO USE IT:
1. Press the stamp onto the pad. You can press firmly, as this ink is different from other paper inks. With paper inks, it's best to use a small amount to avoid staining, but with this ink, you need to wet the stamp well for it to show up clearly on the fabric.
2. Test it on a piece of paper. If it looks good, re-ink and stamp it on the fabric. We recommend testing it on a sample piece of fabric first. We've used it on cotton canvas for embroidery without any issues erasing it.
3. Clean the stamp after use.
4. The print will gradually fade with the moisture from your hands as you embroider, and over time. If it fades completely, you can reprint the stamp or use our water-erasable marker to highlight the remaining stamped area. The marker is a great addition to this pad.
PLEASE NOTE:
The manufacturer states that for best results, the ink should be removed within 10 days, although it may take a little longer after that. In our experience, the print fades gradually over time and with humidity. On the occasions when we've taken more than 10 days to finish an embroidery project, we’ve had no issues after soaking the fabric.
TIP: On a white sheet-like fabric, the ink took a little longer to fade and left a gray mark (we followed the manufacturer's instructions and soaked it), but we added a little percarbonate to the water, let the embroidery sit for a few minutes, and gently rubbed the areas with our finger. Result: everything erased, and the fabric was super white!
*Don't iron the fabric before soaking it to remove the ink.
