HOW DO I USE THIS SPLENDID AUTOMATIC STAMP?
- Your stamp will arrive ready to use. Start by making a test print on paper to check if the stamp is well covered with ink.
- Once you get the hang of it (which you’ll do right away because it’s just a stamp!), it’s time to stamp it onto your clothing. We recommend washing the garment first if it’s new.
- To avoid the ink bleeding through, you can stamp on a hem or wherever the fabric is doubled.
- When you're finished using the stamp, put it back in the airtight bag included in the pack or remove the ink, put the cap on (also included), and store everything in the bag.
* TIP: If you press the stamp gently without actually marking the paper or fabric, it will ink the stamp better, especially if you haven’t used it in a while.
PRINTING DURATION
The durability of the stamp depends on the type of fabric and washing temperature. It works best on absorbent fabrics like cotton, polyester, linen, etc. Wait 24 hours before washing the garment to ensure the ink is fully dry. The print will last approximately:
- 60 washes at 30ºC / 86ºF
- 30 washes at 60ºC / 140ºF
- 10 washes at 90ºC / 194ºF
But as mentioned, this can vary depending on the hardness of the water. If you notice the print fading, just re-stamp it!
INK LIFESPAN
The ink will last approximately 1 year/1000 prints under normal temperature and humidity conditions.
IDEAS!
Remember, in addition to marking clothing, you can also use the stamp to label books, notebooks, erasers, the inside of shoes, school supplies, and more!
PRODUCTION TIME
Production time is 3–5 business days after your design confirmation + shipping.
* IMPORTANT * We’ll send a preview of your personalized design to the email you used for your order—please check your inbox and your spam folder. If we don’t hear back within a few days, we’ll proceed with production as per the preview, unless we have any doubts or are missing a file. You’ll find more shipping details in our Shipping & Returns section.
We produce and ship orders once a week to reduce our environmental impact: delivery drivers only need to come once a week, we can batch orders together, and it helps us stay organized—Biterswit is just the two of us (Carlota and Norma), and we can’t keep up with daily production and shipping. Thanks so much for understanding!
We believe sustainability goes beyond recyclable packaging—our work process aims to be mindful too. So no, your order won’t arrive the next day, but it will arrive lovingly packed by hand, with care and attention to reduce our environmental footprint as much as possible. So all we can say is: thank you for your patience, and for supporting our small studio!
All our stamps are handmade in Barcelona. We cut and mount each one on natural wood from local suppliers.
